Sayer Vincent is an audit and advisory firm working exclusively with charities and social purpose organisations. We help social purpose organisations become more effective and enable them to be able to deliver more for their beneficiaries.

The firm has been growing steadily over the last few years and we are looking for an Audit Manager to join our audit team delivering client work and providing coaching to junior members of staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing end to end client assignments within agreed budget and timetable.
  • Leading, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, from initial contact and tendering through to on-going fee negotiations, retention and expansion of our work with them.
  • Leading, managing and developing staff, actively participating in the training and development of our trainees.
  • Contributing to implementation of technical changes, client training and the firm’s development.

What we are looking for

You will be used to managing a portfolio of clients as well as participating in the new client tendering process. We are looking for an individual who has experience coaching more junior members of staff and ideally managing trainees going through their ACA qualification.

A deep knowledge and understanding of the charity and not-for-profit sector is desirable, along with the ability to deliver strategic planning and thinking. You will enjoy working with other people and possess good face to face and written communication skills, particularly when interacting with people from a non-financial background. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a matrix management structure and have a good ability to manage multiple deadlines.
