Your new company
A global international bank is searching for a credit risk analyst to come in and support their risk team in their corporate, business and commercial operations. This role is a 12-month FTC with potential for an extension. The bank has cultivated a great culture of support and mentorship, making this role perfect for someone looking for their first or second role, someone coming over to the UK searching for that initial UK experience, or someone who has been out of work for a while and looking for a return
Your new role
Key responsibilities include supporting Senior Credit Risk Manager to document areas of challenge within credit proposals (submitted by 1LoD) including but not limited to financial assessment (Profitability & revenue trends, Leverage and capital in business and liquidity & fund flows), business model assessment (across industries) and management analysis. The credit review proposals include international syndicated deals and various Commercial Real estate and Buy-to-let deals. Other responsibilities include supporting senior risk management to conducting industry sector reviews at high-level for risk committees and submission of various Credit Reports of Subsidiary and Wholesale as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you need a minimum of 1 years credit risk experience in a UK banking environment. Beyond that, this role is within Risk Management and the key area of responsibility is supporting Senior Managers within Risk team to conduct independent risk assessment of credit proposals submitted to Risk Management. Some familiarity with second line of defence (2LOD) credit risk will be preferred but is not essential.
