Job Details
Are you a Manager, Senior Manager or already a Partner Designate, looking to upgrade to a friendly, good quality and traditional accountancy firm based in Welwyn Garden City with very quick promotion to Salaried Partner level? If so this independent general practice accountancy firm with under 10 staff has created a new role due to continued high growth within the business and Partners retiring in the next few years. Your role will be general practice based, mixed evenly between audit assignments, accounts preparation assignments, corporation tax, VAT as well as staff management duties. A large element of your role will be advising clients on various aspects of their businesses. You will manage your own portfolio of clients and be responsible for growing your portfolio. Your client base would be varied as this firm works with clients from all industries, including property, technology, construction, manufacturing, retail, professional practices, charities, media and many more. Most clients range to £5m turnover and are UK based although they have some international clients as well. In your role you will be responsible for managing all assignments to completion including reviewing work and leading all client meetings, managing workflow, setting fees, budgeting, billing, monitoring WIP, staff management, giving staff appraisals and helping to oversee and manage the firm. You will also be involved with new business development and assist bringing in new work for the firm in order to grow your client portfolio. Your role will be varied, challenging, yet hugely enjoyable and promotion prospects to Partner level are guaranteed for the right candidate.
To be considered for this newly created role (August 2023) you must be ACA qualified ideally with at least 5+ years PQE. You must currently be operating at Manager / Senior Manager / Director or Salaried Partner level, and currently working in a good quality practice firm, with experience in a mixed general practice role in a small or medium size firm. You must also live within commuting distance from Welwyn Garden City and be a car driver. You must be a team player, have good communication skills and be looking for a role with strong progression in the short term.
This very good quality, small size, traditional accountancy firm based in an easily accessible location in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, is growing at a rapid rate and has grown significantly in the last 12 to 18 months. This newly created role is due to the firm winning lots of new but also due to a number of Partners retiring in the next one to two years. They need someone who is ready to be a Partner in the next one to two years so they can inherit and manage a number of clients from various Partners in the firm. Overall this represents an excellent new opportunity for a Manager, Senior Manager or Partner Designate to join a good quality accountancy firm based in Welwyn Garden City and work in an interesting and varied general practice role with great opportunities and progression to Partnership on offer in the short term.
