Management Accountant

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic and growing UK business based in Bradford. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports, analysing the company's financial performance, and ensuring compliance with VAT and SOX regulations. You will also work closely with the senior management team to provide financial support and guidance for business decisions and strategy.
Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with VAT accounting for multiple currencies and countries, including filing returns, reconciling accounts, and resolving queries
• Analyse and prepare corporate tax returns and liaise with external tax advisors
• Assist with the internal audits and ensure compliance with SOX controls and procedures
• Develop and maintain financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate and interpret financial information to non-financial managers and stakeholders
• Provide financial advice and recommendations to support business objectives and growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role in a UK business environment
• Strong knowledge of VAT and SOX regulations and best practices
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
