Audit & Accounts Manager / PA to Partner

Are you a fully ACA qualified Audit & Accounts Manager, Assistant Manager or PA to Partner from an independent practice firm looking to upgrade to a very good quality, medium size London based accountancy firm and carry out a varied role consisting of audit assignments, statutory accounts preparation work, tax returns and various advisory based projects?  Are you keen to work in a very good quality firm with excellent development opportunities and future progression on offer? In this newly created role due to the firm winning lots of new work from larger firms, your role will be split 50% audit assignments, 40% statutory accounts & corporation tax and 10% ad hoc projects. Based in a general practice role in a firm with around 120 staff and based in the Top 50, you will be responsible for assisting one of the main Partners in the firm managing their portfolio of very high profile clients, managing workflow, liaising with clients, reporting to Partner, and reviewing audit, accounts and tax assignments to completion and sign off stage. You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising junior staff and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great future progression prospects on offer. The firm would look at a good quality candidate operating at either an experienced Senior, Supervisor / Assistant Manager or Junior Manager level. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. The firm is based slightly in Zone 2 North London so easy access to this location would be ideal.

To be considered for this new role (August 2023) you must have at least five years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm and be fully ACA qualified with a few years post qualification experience. You must have experience of leading audit assignments from planning to completion, reviewing work, assisting with managing a portfolio of clients, managing workflow, and working in an advisory capacity to clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
