Senior Group Reporting Manager - Multinational Retailer - Up to 80k - Lancashire - 6 Month Contract
Your new company
A multinational retailer based in Lancashire is looking for a Senior Group Reporting Manager to join their finance team on a 6 month contract. This business has a large global presence and is looking to expand due to their ongoing rapid growth. It's an exciting time to join the business.
Your new role
In your new role as Senior Group Reporting Manager your key responsibilities will include: holistic management of the balance sheet, end to end fixed asset register management, including monthly additions, disposals and depreciation charges, oversight to ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are performed as per the Financial Execs checklist, including performing reconciliations not performed in other roles (i.e. WEEE provisions, production of a balance sheet pack, including provision of insight and recommendations for improvements to the Financial Controller's view, management of the Intercompany re-charges / balance agreements, any reporting commentary to Group associated with the balance sheet, ownership of all external financial reporting and submission requirements. This includes, UK VAT returns to HMR, Office of National Statistics requests, WEEE reporting, any other external regulatory / legal requirements, including carbon footprint /payment practices, lead implementation of Group financial accounts submissions and policies. This includes:, year end packs, including tax packs, monthly Exchange gain / loss analysis and reporting, including ownership of any revaluation postings, supporting the Financial Controller, manage the year end audit information requirement, and liaison with local teams on audit delivery where required. Taking ownership of balance sheet forecast, and made ready for quarterly forecast submissions to Group. This will require liaison with members of the wider finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a First Time Mover from Practice and an ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant. You will be a good team player and work with stakeholders of different levels. This role is ideal for a first-time mover from practice as current senior manager within the firm are practice trained themselves. Experience of managing a small team is preferable alongside experience of working with retail clients.
