Our client is a highly successful international business, which, due to investment and growth, organic and by acquisition, are looking to recruit a talented qualified accountant with broad technical knowledge, strong analytical skills and a keen interest in process improvement to join the business as Assistant Financial Controller. Your new role The Assistant Financial Controller will play a key role in the development of the finance function and in the support of business growth.

Key Responsibilities: * Take ownership of the monthly accounting close and reporting cycle. * Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for the UK Business. * Help drive the development and monitoring of financial controls (internal controls) and systems to improve efficiency. * Ensure all statutory and tax reporting is completed on time and accurately for business supported by the UK team and supporting the branch Finance teams for statutory purposes in Dubai and Europe * Develop and support the procurement process for the UK. * Management or potential to manage and develop a small team * Other tasks as the business grows and develops.

What you'll need to succeed The Assistant Financial Controller will be a qualified accountant with broad financial and management accounting experience, strong IT and analytical skills. They will be an excellent communicator, have strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work, have a good eye for detail and a real passion in driving efficiency and quality within the department and the wider business. The Assistant Financial Controller will have the experience or the ability to manage and develop a small team and enjoy mentoring.
