Finance Business Partner job in Dundee, Salary up to £43,000 required for 12-month contract

Your new company

Hays Senior Finance is recruiting on behalf of our established & prestigious client for a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will be taken on a direct contract with this client and you will be offered a salary of up to £43,000 + hybrid working (2 days in office), 39 days annual leave & a highly competitive pension.

Your new role

Reporting into senior stakeholders within the finance team, you will be responsible for producing and embedding a process for project costing across the organisation. You will identify the costs for each service and assess cost variables to work to build a scalable template. You will work closely with budget holders to ensure a robust process for charging costs and ensure that all processes are well documented. Working in line with corporate and financial governance policies, you will build strong working relationships across finance and operational teams to build the costing model.

You will provide financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders in this process and will support continuous improvement across the operational business; promoting best practice and facilitating change. Your role will involve ensuring that internal financial controls are robust and that new corporate finance initiatives are supported and implemented.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be a fully qualified Accountant or hold highly relevant experience in a role demonstrating costing experience. You will have strong experience of communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders at all levels and have strong influencing skills. Experience of costing (ideally in a manufacturing or service industry) and building costing/finance models is important.

You will have a high level of IT skills, particularly in the development and provision of management information. With strong accountancy skills, you will be capable of dealing with technical accounting issues and will be open-minded, adaptable and have an excellent team working mentality.
