Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established Manufacturing/Engineering Group to recruit for an experienced and dynamic Treasury Accountant. Based in Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire offering remote/office hybrid working or fully remote, this permanent position will take responsibility for the implementation of the Group's treasury policy and all aspects of the Group's treasury reporting and compliance. Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller this is an exciting opportunity where you can really influence and add value.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve consolidating and analysing direct cashflow forecasting for the group, both short and long-term for multiple foreign currencies. You will analyse FX exposure for the group including monetary assets, liabilities and forward contracts, control supplier payment allocation to various subsidiaries, and maintain exchange rates in EPR systems. You will monitor and report the current cash position of the Group daily, forecast realisation of FX gains and losses in P&L, manage forwards contracts, and hedge accounting entries with analysis. You will monitor current bonding/guarantee exposures, tactically manage bank account balances, and be involved in month-end co-ordination of ERP bank reconciliations, along with currency revaluations. You will provide information for accruals/prepayment in relation to bank charges/interest and identify/implement system improvements. You will take lead on all treasury administration including opening new bank accounts, mandate updates, and compliance, along with being involved in ad-hoc treasury projects to support the group.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent Treasury Accountant role, you will need experience within a similar position. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of senior stakeholders, translating highly technical information to others. You will be able to exercise discretion and confidentiality, strong organisation skills to meet deadlines, and the ability to work hands-on, autonomously and as part of a team. You will have a commitment to continuous improvement, a technical understanding of accounting/treasury principles, and be experienced in a range of financial/ERP systems. It would be advantageous but not essential if you have achieved a treasury qualification with treasury/cashflow management experience, and knowledge of Microsoft AX/D365.
