Financial Controller role with established south Lincolnshire SME

Hays Senior Finance are recruiting for an established busy SME FMCG business in south Lincolnshire.

Your new role
Reporting to the Directors, you will be the number one in the finance team, very much part of the senior leadership and actively contributing to the successful strategic planning and financial controls for the organisation. Your role will be a nice mix of finance (managing a team of 2 to ensure the production of a full set of accounts monthly as well as budgeting, forecasting and year end) as well as responsibility for legal and compliance (data protection, managing legal relationships, advising on legal agreements and contracts and insurances) and Human Resources (managing one member of staff to ensure business partnering with the workforce is reflected and lead the drive for consistent quality leadership across the business).

What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent and proven financial management or controller experience in an SME environment. You will have a thorough knowledge of Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll and VAT. You will be used to producing management accounts from transaction level including prepayments, accruals, payroll journals etc and have experience of year end accounts to pre-audit. Ideally you will have experience of working capital management, have dealt with multi-currency transactions and have strong management, organisation and communication skills, working in a close knit team environment. You may be studying for or have achieved a finance qualification or be qualified by experience. You will be living in commutable distance to south Lincolnshire as the role is hybrid working each week.
