Finance Manager opportunity for a 12 month maternity cover - PE backed business in professional services

Your new company
I am currently working with a PE backed Accountancy firm who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager. This is a new opportunity due to maternity cover, and will be initially for 12 months.
This is a Top 100 firm who have a North West presence, are expanding due to both organic growth and acquisition, meaning you would get involved in a variety of projects.
It would be desirable if you have experience in a Professional Services environment, however this is not an essential.

Your new role
Some of your duties will include, but not limited to:

• Prepare Management Accounts and monthly board packs
• Assist in the preparation of Financial accounts including trial balance and year end#
• Define and implement company accounting processes
• Drive system and accounting process improvement
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts
• You will play an integral role in the inner workings of the business progression through assisting with acquisitions, specifically DD, integration and post deal reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
It would be desirable if you have experience of working in a Professional services environment, however this is not an essential.
You must be a Qualified (ACA/ACCA) Accountant who is looking for a 12 month contract to cover a maternity leave within the business.
You must have excellent communication skills in order to work closely with Partners and Investors across the North West in a variety of office locations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of accounting principles and be well versed in the preparation of financial statements
