Your new company
Exciting opportunity to join an SME that now sit within a PLC structure. Over the last 8 months, this company have gone through and are currently going through some significant changes within their reporting, structure and culture. Due to exciting plans and growth of the business, they are looking to appoint a Finance Manager on a full time permanent basis.
Your new role
You will lead the company's financial and management accounting, reporting and control activities. You will oversee all accounting functions and together with the management team, ensure the business is led and managed appropriately.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to tight group deadlines.
- Collation of daily and weekly reports and KPI information for both company and group requirements.
- Prepare budgets and forecast schedules together with the senior management.
- Accurate cash forecasts.
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts and tax packs and management of year end audit.
- Oversee all accounting functions in the business - purchase ledger, sale ledger, bad debt and invoice processing Oversee the management of chasing payments and invoices from customers.
- 1-2-1's, appraisals, objective setting, coaching, leading, mentoring, and training.
- Set up and create robust reporting systems and processes with live daily, weekly, and monthly financial visibility.
- Weekly and month end stock reconciliations with a full understanding of WIP and margins.
- Understand ROI (return on investments) and statistics to look at high spend projects to be undertaken and to quantify to see if they are viable options
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will ideally be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with significant manufacturing experience. However, saying that if you're an exception qualified by experienced accountant with significant manufacturing experience, then you will be considered. Experience working within a group structure and change management would be an advantage, but not essential.
What you'll get in return
On offer is a salary between £50,000-£60,000 per annum plus benefits. The role will predominately be office based with some flexibility to work from home when required.
