Financial Controller Job - West Kent - Qualified CIMA, ACCA , ACA - Up to c£55,000 DOE

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller or a progressive Finance Manager to join my client a leading niche international logistics business.

Your new role
This is a vital position for the business taking a leading hands-on role of the daily management of the end-to-end finance function. You will be managing and supporting a small but dedicated finance team to deliver:

Key responsibilities.
* Delivery of monthly management and financial accounts
* Consolidation of group monthly and annual accounts
* Close down of years trading, balancing of ledgers and production of annual Statutory Accounts with Auditors
* Acting as the liaison for the banks and the external accounting firm
* Ensuring all month end process are adhered to and reconciliations done
* Understanding and supporting the business on profitable business growth, highlighting opportunities and risks
* Leading the preparation of tax calculations and filing VAT returns
* Review, development and strengthening of internal controls
* Profit Summary of contracts and Cash Analysis, which is presented weekly
* Control of business systems, providing insight and challenge to fellow senior managers

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an accomplished Financial Controller or progressive Finance Manager looking for the next step in your career. A relevant financial qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA is highly desired. As is experience of working within a busy, fast paced and dynamic business. The ability to engage at a high level with key internal and external stakeholders of all levels is key to the development of this role and the finance function as a whole. A demonstrated ability to deliver robust and timely financial management and react to adjusting priorities is key.
