Treasury Analyst

HAYS are delighted to be partnering with one of our £billion turnover Construction clients, headquartered in Coventry, to recruit for a Treasury Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to a recent acquisition, which will allow the successful candidate to make the role their own while building on their existing Treasury skill set. The successful candidate will be involved in daily, weekly and monthly reporting, including cash position, bank activity and cash flow forecasting along with comparison to actuals. This role will also have a focus on process improvement and standardisation, as well as elements of project work focused on optimising my clients' Treasury function.

This role is offering a competitive salary plus a bonus, with opportunities for study support and hybrid working.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Complete daily cash management tasks.
• Run the weekly forecast & apply appropriate adjustments as required.
• Be proactive in identifying risks or potential issues in payments process.
• Work with Treasury Manager to find efficiencies with both processes & costs.
• Process treasury transactions.
• Ability to assist and train users in using Banking systems.
• Ability to complete bank forms as necessary.
• Complete regular audits.
• Maintain strong working relationships with relevant teams and stakeholders (including the wider finance team, Cashiers team, Group level, banks, external auditors and technical service providers)

In order to be successful in this role, you will have;

• Experience working in a Treasury function
• Good level of IT literacy, including working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• High degree of accuracy and strong numeric skills
• An Accountancy or Treasury qualification (this is a desirable rather than an essential)
