A pioneering construction business that has a new senior leadership team and has grown its market share significantly in the past 3 years. This company is a large and complex business with a significant presence in the North West. Hays are delighted to be working exclusively on this exciting new role in their structure.

Your new role
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of balance sheet control and reporting.
You will lead at year end and will be the principal contact for the auditors for this large and complex business.
You will also manage all tax matters, liaising with experts where necessary and representing the company's interests.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director this role has progression opportunities into a Financial Controller position.

What you'll need to succeed
We are seeking qualified financial accountants who are either making their first move from practice, or are seeking a second move into a larger and more complex environment with real career progression prospects.

You should want to work in a construction / industrial environment and be keen to lead discussions on future financial accounting strategy including integration of acquisitions.

You will be happy working autonomously, be proactive about suggesting improvements and have an appetite to get involved in project work.
