Financial Planning Analyst with experience in a supply chain, logistics or manufacturing and engineering


Company Introduction

A full service, global engineering, repair and logistics Company based in Milton Keynes providing best cost solutions to many of the worlds' premier brands. We support the entire product life cycle, from original design input, pre-sales testing, local customisation and configuration through to our field support activities that include technical assistance as well as product repair, replacement and refurbishment programs. The Role In this role, you will provide business partnering, commercial analysis and decision support to the management teams at the branch and will work closely with the Branch Manager, Divisional Management, and Senior Leadership Team to maximise branch performance and identify risks and opportunities. You will have the opportunity to influence strategic decision making and add value.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Working closely with operations leadership to understand issues and how they impact the financial results, as well as educate/inform departments on cost drivers and variation to forecast.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead financial analysis and aide operations leadership in driving improvements to ensure achievement of daily/weekly/monthly financial goals.
  • Provide leadership and initiative to improve and manage profitability and budgeting.
  • Daily profit and loss forecasting and analysis.
  • Monthly forecasting and reporting.
  • Generate and lead the annual Branch Budget process.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and provide oversight for the financial inventory control process.
  • Align with Finance Manager regarding impact of accounting policy on revenue & profit recognition.

Experience

  • Two years of experience in a Financial planning Analyst position in a supply chain, logistics or manufacturing and engineering industry (essential).
  • Supply chain, logistics or manufacturing industry (essential).
  • Managing P&L and subsequent reports (essential).
  • Telecom industry background could be advantageous.
  • Experience of working with Excel & PowerPoint at an advanced level and the ability to analyse data/comfortable manipulating complex data (essential).
  • Commercial acumen, analysing complex data, identifying key messages, and communicating output.
