A well established reputable accountancy firm based in Macclesfield are looking to appoint a newly qualified accountant to join their accounts and audit team. This is a newly created job opportunity has arisen due to continued growth within the firm and the partners are looking to appoint someone who they can nurture into a manager within 18 - 24 months. The firm have two partners, two managers and around 30 staff across the firm. They have modern open plan offices near to the public transport links and free parking on site.

Your new job
You will join the team as an Accounts & Audit Senior and will be responsible for preparing financial statement for a range of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies for review from the manager in the team. You will also be responsible for leading audit assignments and reporting directly into the partner with these. The role will be weighted 50/50 between accounts and audit and overtime the partners would like the successful appointment to develop into an audit manager.

What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking to appoint either a newly qualified ACA / ACCA accountant or a part qualified accountant who is towards the end of their studies. You will ideally have trained within a general practice gaining exposure to both audit and accounts assignments and ideally have experience of in charging audits however this can be developed over time. The firm will also consider an ACA trained auditor from a Top 10 firm. To be successful in your interview you must be able to demonstrate ambition and sound communication skills as over time there will be scope to develop your managerial skills.
