Financial Accountant

Your new role
Working as part of a friendly and collaborative team, you would be supporting the monthly close of the UK group through financial reporting. You would be responsible for key balance sheets accounts and managing the delivery and implementation of important departmental projects. Responsibilities will include:

• Support in the monthly submission for group companies
• Liaise with key business owners to account for areas which are impacted by accounting judgements
• Support maintaining compliance with group accounting policy, or documenting variances from policy that are justified and approved
• Ownership in relationship with subsidiary companies by providing advice and feedback on their accounting
• Participation in key financial projects and contributes to process improvements
• Completion/review of accounting entries for specific income accruals, cost accruals and allocations, reporting adjustments and provisions and allowances
• Completion/review of balance sheet reconciliations across all areas of the balance sheet and business
• Point of contact for ledger account queries

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person for this opportunity will be part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with a strong understanding of ledger accounting and a demonstrable, stable track record progressing in finance positions. Proficient on MS Excel, you will have strong attention to detail and be able to deliver accurate results within tight timeframes. Team skills are essential along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with others effectively.
