Finance Business Partner

Your new company
Our client is a large, privately owned business with an impressive list of blue chip clients. They offer a flexible, hybrid working with 3 days a week in the office. This role is a commercial finance business partnering role managing a small team.

Your new role
This key position will provide challenge, financial support and insights to the Divisional Business Unit leader. You will ensure all reporting is timely and accurate including client weekly and monthly results, client budgeting and forecasting, meaningful and informative client reporting and weekly P&L.

You will maintain tight cost control for the clients as well as fully understanding the contractual and commercial arrangements with each client. Tight controls of the balance sheets and of supplier payments will be imperative.

This role will be hugely interactive with clients and so you will be able to inspire confidence in budgets / forecast and the reported financial results as well be the finance lead for all new business and account development, including account retention and strategic growth.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, able to translate strong technical expertise into practical application, and operational activity into financial impact. Previous experience in transport and warehousing is essential as well as strong commercial and operational experience with a proven background of delivery.

You will have the ability to provide credible support to non-finance areas of the business and be a strong team player but also happy to work independently on own initiative.
