Our opportunity for you:
Vistra Assurance Ireland is currently recruiting for a Audit Manager who will work within the existing team to manage statutory audits for typically internationally focused companies largely operating in the technology and retail sectors. This role is Dublin based with some travel within t. The audit team consists of individuals both qualified and in training. We are a fast-paced, growing, entrepreneurial business with ambitions to be the market leader in corporate services globally. We have exciting plans for 2023 led by our new CEO Simon Webster.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate’s role will involve managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants to deliver assurance requirements to our portfolio of clients.
The role will include, but is not limited to;
• Liaising with clients and the audit team to coordinate the delivery of audit work
• Building and developing relationships with existing clients, prospective clients and colleagues in the wider Vistra network
• Leading a team including supervising and coaching more junior members of staff to help them reach their full potential
• Working with and supporting the Vistra Ireland commercial team on new prospects, opportunities and proposals. Dealing with the onboarding requirements of new clients.
• Participation in the annual budgeting process, monthly billing process and monitoring the financial performance, recoverability and contribution of the audit team to the organisation
• Keeping up to date with technical and regulatory changes in the accountancy and audit environment
• Driving the internal annual compliance review process and dealing with any queries or visits from Professional Standards.
The candidate will work alongside a management team and directors across the business. They will be encouraged to develop their technical knowhow by regularly undertaking audit specific CPD and qualifications as required.
Attributes/ Technical Skills:
The person concerned will have the following attributes and abilities
Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or international equivalent with 5 years post qualification experience
• Organised, process-driven individual with a questioning mindset, an appetite to learn and effective commercial acumen
• A team player, eager to work in a cohesive unit team delivering excellent client service with the ability to motivate a team and lead by example
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to work on their own and on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Have and be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous exposure to a range of Corporate sectors such as technology, financial intermediaries, retail and wholesale is desirable
Relevant Experience:
Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in an accounting / audit firm
Management and supervisory experience in a professional environment
Exposure to and track record of successfully resolving complex audit issues
Education and Professional Qualification:
ACA or ACCA qualified
