This exciting opportunity has arisen to join this leading retail business as their Transactional Finance Manager, within the transactional accounting team.
Description
You will be responsible for overseeing the Transactional Accounting team and you will also act as a key advisor on this area for the wider business. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic, quality-driven, and motivated Finance Manager who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will also have a keen interest and strength in managing people and act as a leader for their team.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Managing a finance team in a fast-paced environment
- Being a direct leader to Team Leader/s within the department
- Advising the business from a technical transactional accounting perspective
- Developing new team members, providing training, support, and guidance
- Providing support, guidance and training to financial and non-financial managers and colleagues
Profile
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or similar equivalent
- Experience in a transactional finance function at an appropriate level
- Experience of working to deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong track record in management of people, processes, and projects
- Experience of working to deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Engaging and friendly, able to collaborate and motivate the team
- Dynamic, flexible, able to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Highly numerate
- Proficient in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
