A superb Financial Controller position has arisen in a leading, international Media and Entertainment business based in the heart of West London.

With a turnover in excess of $500m the business specialise in live and filmed entertainment, endorsements and sponsorship, media, fashion, digital media and publishing. Over the past couple of years the group has grown organically and through a number of high profile acquisitions that have cemented their reputation and world-class offering. Due to the growth the business has recently appointed a new CFO who is leading a Transformation process to build a very high-calibre and capable finance department.

The business has won many awards and founded over 50 years ago, they have operations in 6 continents and have a plethora of instantly recognisable brands, athletes, and personalities across the music, tv and film industries.

Based in their modern UK headquarters near Hammersmith, West London.


The Financial Controller will be responsible:

  • Leading the day to day Financial & Management Accounting function
  • Lead, mentor and develop the team
  • Lead all period end close accounting (Month, Quarter, Year)
  • Oversee preparation of all monthly management reporting
  • Oversee all Balance Sheet and Ledger reconciliations
  • Bank and Cash-flow forecasting including FX
  • Assist with the group year end audit
  • Implement and maintain financial control framework
  • Review contracts and revenue recognition
  • Identify transformation and change opportunities
  • Ad-hoc projects


The successful Financial Controller will be:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with 5+ years post qualified experience
  • Strong technical finance skills developed in a similar role or accounting practice
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Prior people management experience is essential
  • Media/Entertainment sector experience is desirable

Job Offer

The Financial Controller position comes with a base salary of circa £80,000-£120,000, discretionary company performance bonus.
