Management Accountant

Hays are recruiting for this growing SME who are now looking at adding a Management Accountant to the team

Your new company
This thriving business is currently embarking on a period of growth and as their clients and projects increase across the UK, they are now in a position to add to the finance team and recruit a Management Accountant. They are already close to achieving their planned turnover for 2023 so its now an exciting time to join their busy, fast paced office.


Your new role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, they are looking for an enthusiastic and driven person to join the small but hands on finance team. The key to this role will be to ensure accurate financial reporting, providing analysis to project manager, validate business performance whilst taking on general finance duties to support the team. The role will include:

• Preparation and analysis of month end results
• Provide analysis to project managers across different sites around the UK
• Manage budgets and forecasts in line with reporting cycle
• Company VAT returns
• Month end reconciliations
• Invoice processing
• Management Account journals
• Month end reconciliations

What you'll need to succeed
They are ideally looking for a driven candidate with experience in month end accounts preparation. Ideally you will have started your accountancy qualifications, in either ACCA or CIMA or be close to qualifying. You should have good IT skills, Sage 50 experience would be beneficial and be comfortable working autonomously.
