The purpose of the role is to lead the development of the financial & regulatory reporting systems and processes

Description

The job holder will evaluate and implement new systems and business processes to deliver automated and data-led financial and management reporting to the senior management and external stakeholders. The ongoing management of the finance team's systems will be a key ongoing deliverable for the role-holder as they support the efficient implementation of the expansion plans. They will also be required to:

    Research alternative options for a replacement general ledger (or other systems as the need arises) and prepare a business case for approval with the support of the Financial Controller and Deputy Finance Director Implement a replacement general ledger system including preparing business requirements, evaluating options and testing systems, processes and outputs Take responsibility for the ongoing management and maintenance of the internal finance systems and the management of their integration within the wider IT systems and infrastructure. Design, implement and test new financial reports and analytical outputs that drive efficiency
    Implement tactical upgrades to the Finance team's systems and processes. Assist the Finance team with ad hoc support on analytical or financial reporting activities.

Profile

    Recognised accounting qualification
    3-4 years of relevant post-qualified experience Experienced with a range of technologies and solutions relevant to banking businesses and finance teams Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Power-point & Excel Processing & Procedural Knowledge Project Management Techniques
    Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards relevant to the banking industry
