Risk Lead

The role holder will be expected to champion effective risk management across the organisation, supporting the Risk Champion and Coordinator network, and ensure corporate risks are promptly identified and maintained.

Description

The Risk Lead's responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Promoting effective risk management across the business,
• Manage the Risk Champion and Risk Coordinator network across internal relationships,
• Facilitate the timely identification of new risks and ensure these are appropriately documented and recorded on the corporate Risk Register and support regular review of existing risks
• Facilitate the identification, implementation and monitoring of key controls to mitigate identified risks
• Provide timely reporting on risk actions to Risk Owners
• Support the Head of Risk, Control & Assurance with Risk Reviews for members of the SLT and ELT
• Act as the main contact for internal and external contacts using the JCAD risk management system
• Undertake further analysis as requested

Profile

The successful Risk Lead should have;

• Knowledge and understanding of the sector and the wider industry
• Likely to be evidenced by proven experience the wider energy sector
• Ability to develop strong and effective relationships to influence change through a wider circle of influence
• Experience of delivering through influence or matrix-managed relationships desirable
• Strong attention to detail, whilst also able to see the bigger picture
• Inquisitive nature and confident in asking probing questions at all levels
• Ability to facilitate workshops for ~10-20 colleagues (generally WLT and SLT)
• Confident using Office 365 packages, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
