Client Details
Our client is a c. £12 million turnover company based in Grantham.
Description
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the company's finance function. This includes managing a stable team of four, who are responsible for supporting with banking, VAT, purchase ledger, management accounts production and payroll. The company also uses an external accountant to support with year end, tax and statutory accounts. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Training, supporting and overseeing the team of 4 in finance
- Producing the management accounts with analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow forecasting
- Analysing the budget v actuals
- Supporting the various Heads of Department with their financials
- Producing budgets
- Managing the production of VAT returns and file with HMRC
- Producing aged debtor reports for the Heads of Department
- Overseeing credit control and instructing solicitors where necessary
- Supporting with HR, which includes the issuing of contracts and induction packs
- Identifying and driving process improvements across the finance function
- Liaising with the external accountant and the company's Bank
Profile
To apply for this position you do not need experience of all of the above duties, as the external accountant will be available to provide support. However, you:
- Are ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, qualified by experience candidates may also be considered
- Must have a proven track record of working in finance
- Must be confident with budgeting and forecasting, and producing management accounts
- Will ideally have experience of supervising, or training, or managing others, though this is not essential
Job Offer
This is a permanent opportunity that is offering:
- £45-55k (dependent upon experience)
- 20 days holiday plus bank holiday
- Standard hours are 9:00-17:30 but your start and finish hours can be varied
- This is a office based role, but you can work from home on an ad hoc basis
