Hays are delighted to be supporting a large, multinational organisation with the recruitment of a permanent Commercial Financial Controller/Business Partner for their site in Droitwich.

In the UK, this company develops and manufactures a wide range of products within their field and is ranked in the Top 10 of Britain's biggest brands.

Your new role
Reporting into a Senior Financial Controller and working in a standalone role, you will be required to provide financial decision making and act as the finance lead in driving improvements and performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operational financial reporting of the site (weekly and monthly) with insightful commentary supported by detailed variance analysis to drive performance
  • Be an integral member of the site leadership team with the ability to challenge constructively
  • Work closely with key internal teams and departments to review and deliver on cost out initiatives
  • Responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and product costing on SAP
  • Work closely with Group projects and operational teams to ensure Capex projects are reviewed and robust from a financial point of view
  • Business partner the site lead and SLT

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA preferred) with post-qualification experience
  • Significant experience in commercial finance/business partnering roles
  • Self-starter with the ability to business partner, manage and influence decision-making
  • Manufacturing/FMCG background (ideally in a large, complex business)
  • Able to operate and build relationships at all levels
  • Highly driven with a passion for developing skills in new areas
