Job Details

This role is the succession plan for the Head of Commercial Finance, and will look to step up into that role in the next 18-24 months. You will be key in supporting new business & tenders, modelling, analysis and really getting into the detail of the operations.

Description

  • Business partner across the different business divisions
  • Lead on securing rate reviews as required
  • Deliver and negotiate contract renewals that continue to bring value to the business
  • Drive open and efficient channels of communication within the business, in relation to the commercial management process
  • To proactively identify and seek future growth opportunities and needs of the business
  • Develop further relationships and revenue streams with our existing customer base as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships with a wide variety of customers and clients, both internally and externally
  • Work closely with the Finance and Operations team members to ensure all forecasting is realistic and targets achieved
  • Submit and proactively follow up quotations to existing, new and potential customers
  • Manage both customer expectations and the relationship with the customer from lead to implementation
  • Identify and support bid & tender management for larger opportunities
  • Validate commercial inputs into / support budget and audit processes

Profile

  • Qualified accountant
  • Logistics/ transport experience- MUST HAVE
  • Strong commercial & operational experience

Job Offer

  • Salay up to £70,000 plus car allowance
  • Flexible working- part office/ home & visits to customers/ other sites
