Experienced VAT Indirect Tax Manager Senior Manager Top 10 Firm Southampton Hampshire

Working for a Top 10 Firm in Southampton, this role will provide VAT services to a wide range of clients including household names, global multinationals and fast paced privately owned businesses. UK VAT experience/knowledge is essential however a significant amount of work will involve working with the firm's International network to advise clients on global VAT issues.

The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients and the development of targets in order to ensure continued growth of the business. You will also provide assistance to senior members of staff in both client work and in the management of the group and on occasions the practice. Also key to the role is for the individual to be able to pro-actively manage their own workload, communicating with other team members including Partners on a regular basis.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a significant understanding of, and previous experience within UK VAT and in-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus in the area of VAT. You will have the ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio, experience of dealing direct with HMRC and experience of dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders. It will also be helpful if you have a curious mind and a can-do attitude along with the ability and desire to actively seek opportunities for further work. Excellent communication skills and an ability to be part of a collaborative team is essential.
