Job Details
You will be responsible for the reporting, governance and decision-making support for all investment spend across the largest arm of the business, with an annual investment spend of around £300m across capital expenditure and R&D spend. You'll support the Defence Investment Review Committee and monthly reporting of actual spend and schedule delivery against plans.

Description
You will facilitate the review of all new investment proposals to deliver high-quality, clear and concise investment choices for executive level management review. You will provide management information of the investment portfolio and complete all forecasts for investments.
- Coordinate the Defence Investment Review Committee inputs and proactively manage the requirements and stakeholders (through to Executive level), supporting the creation of clear and concise investment proposal papers
- Interface with Group investment team on all process, reporting and approval requirements, ensuring Defence position is understood and communicated properly
- Coordinate all investment forecasting requirements and provide clear output reporting and insights to key stakeholders. Ensure cost and benefit cases are appropriately represented in financial forecasts.
- Support the development and sustainment of an efficient and effective in-flight investment project review process

Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong financial control skill set with demonstrated ability to efficiently manage complex data sets and provide qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Effective communicator, able to clearly and confidently express financial performance with appropriate business context. Able to build effective working relationships with finance and non-finance functions across the Group.
- Proven track record in delivering commitments in challenging environments (quality and timeliness).
