Michael Page are recruiting for an Accountant to join a growing Public Sector organisation based in Central Leeds on a permanent basis.

The client is a growing public sector organisation based in Central Leeds. They are a new organisation who are now going through their next phase of recruitment by developing and solidifying their finance team. They hold an excellent reputation on the market and offer a range of benefits including a competitive holiday and pension allowance. They are offering hybrid working with the role requiring someone on site for 3 days a week.

Description

As an Accountant duties will include but are not limited to, producing financial reports, prepare and develop new processes, deliver on deadlines for financial outputs for stakeholders, prepare journals, produce reconciliations, reconcile the ledgers, identify and challenge anomalies in financial data, engage effectively with the business stakeholders, influencing stakeholders to ensure timely collation of information to process accounts and financial reports, work with stakeholders to identify new system requirements, deal with queries and other ad hoc duties

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully Qualified Accountant ESSENTIAL
  • Have worked within Financial Services previously DESIRABLE
  • Have maintained a general ledger system ESSENTIAL
  • Have prepared financial reports and accounts previously ESSENTIAL
  • Be looking to work in a varied and developing organisation ESSENTIAL
