Your new role
A sole charge Company Accountant role reporting to the MD. You will deliver all aspects of general accounting and finance within the business as well as working closely with the office team. Responsibilities will include; The preparation of monthly management accountant and budgets. Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Month-end journal posting. Multicurrency bank operation and reconciliations. Invoice discount management and monthly reconciliation. Accruals and prepayment management. Intercompany balance and transaction reconciliations. VAT Returns preparations and submission. Purchase invoices (including coding and batching and posting). Supplier payments Including import purchase payments. Sales ledger reconciliation and credit control. Monthly payroll and RTI submission to HMRC and monthly PAYE to HMRC. Pension scheme administration. Forecasting and cash flows. Preparing any internal reports as required. Import goods, costing calculations. Stock management, stock warehouse transfers, annual stock check audit of figures. Assisting in the preparation of the annual financial accounts supporting our external accountancy firm. Petty cash handling.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an accomplished Company Accountant / Finance Manager, from an OMB / SME background, used to a broad and hands on role. Either fully or part qualified, you will be available to start immediately and happy to commit to a minimum of three months.
