Job Details

The finance director will manage and lead the international finance departments, alongside the UK. In addition, ensuring strategic guidance in line with the finances of the organisation and accurate financial controls with the longer term goals and improvements in mind.

Description

As the Interim Finance Director you will:

  • Oversee the organisations financial accounts across the global sites.
  • Manage and direct the annual and monthly financial reporting and accounts, identifying accurate results in order to successfully forecast.
  • Oversee the cash flow within internal reports, ensuring these consistently reviewed while consolidate the management accounts for overseas. While ensuring this is done in a time and efficient manner for month end closures.
  • Manage and guide the finance teams internationally, collaboratively liaising with management, while contributing to coaching and training to staff as and when required.
  • Lead the successful management for cash flow forecasts and treasury, ensuring the maximisation of efficiency's in relation to assets and reducing costs.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions.
  • Manage, enhance and implement adequate exchange processes in line with timely payments in addition to reviewing and developing all global financial policies and procedures.
  • Work alongside internal auditors and management ensuring all finances are in line with compliance and regulations.
  • Regularly review and monitor the frameworks in line with financial policies, procedures and accounts.
  • Manage and guide the statutory accounts while assuring these are in line with SORP and audits are up to standard.
  • Remain up to date with any amendments or changes of international legislation's and regulations in relation stakeholders.

Profile

The successful Interim Finance Director will be/have:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience within a similar role and within the Not for Profit Sector.
  • An ability to identify and react to emerging issues.
  • Experience within financial accounting and presenting data.
  • Experience of producing regulatory and statutory reporting inclusive of knowledge of relevant Statement of Accounting Practices.
  • Understanding of treasury management processes and reporting.
  • Understanding of credit control, VAT and other taxes
  • Ability to guide and assist the delivery of business plans.
  • Experience in delivering projects to tight deadlines.
  • The ability to analyse financial issues and interpret information.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to tight deadlines.
  • The ability to represent the ethos and objectives of the organisations specialists.
