About our team

PwC’s XBRL team has a strong track record of launching innovative services to help companies address the ever changing regulatory and financial reporting environment.

Digital reporting has become a key feature in the regulatory landscape. Having easy access to machine-readable financial data makes it easier for regulators and other stakeholders to make comparisons across peers and sectors.

Our team is well known and established in this market. The team’s HMRC managed tagging service has delivered thousands of sets of financial statements tagged in machine readable format.

From 2021, UK listed companies have had to publish their annual reports in a machine-readable format (iXBRL) commonly known as the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF). The XBRL team has launched a suite of market leading services from training, blueprinting, review and vendor selection services for our non-audit clients and assurance services for our audit clients as they navigate the requirements of this mandate.

The team are recruiting senior associates to join our growing and high performing team to support our ambitious growth plans.

About the role

Responsibility comes early in the XBRL team. As a senior associate, you will get hands on experience on how services are launched and delivered to a broad range of clients. You will be involved in all aspects of running services from developing new technical specialisms, being in the market delivering engagements and doing everything needed to deliver high quality services to our clients.

The role offers early development of leadership skills through our partnership with our highly talented team in PwC’s Indian Acceleration Center. This team play a critical role in delivery of services. You will be given the opportunity to build strong relationships with this team, create a culture of coaching and high quality and be responsible for growing their capabilities.

About you

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA)

• A working and practical knowledge and experience  with International Financial Reporting Standards

• A working knowledge of reporting language XBRL (desirable but not essential)

• Experience in working directly with clients in an advisory, audit or assurance delivery capacity

• Passion for learning how to build new services delivering high quality

• Curiosity and willingness to challenge yourself and learn new skills, including working in unfamiliar industries/environments

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and problem solve
