Client Details
My client is an industry leader in the transport sector and they operate all over the world. They have very ambitious plans for growth in the future.
Description
- Collating and summarising data from various sources (including the Group's consolidation system, Onestream, offline excel templates and divisional presentations), and working with divisional teams and other group functions to obtain and understand this data
- Drawing meaningful conclusions from varied data inputs, and communicating this to a number of different stakeholders including external advisors, senior management and executives
- Taking ownership for updating and maintaining Group financial models to perform scenario analysis, over both a shorter and longer term forecasting horizon, operating in a dynamic and agile manner to provide timely analysis.
- Understanding and analysing divisional teams' periodic reforecasts, summarising changes in forecast for the CFO and collating risks and opportunities
- Producing reporting on capital expenditure for the monthly Board report
- Participating in the capital approval process, ensuring that expenditure requests are appropriately reviewed, interrogated and recorded
- Providing ad-hoc decision support and insight
Profile
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' PQE;
- Be able to demonstrate excellent Excel and financial modelling skills along with strong commercial acumen, problem-solving skills and very high attention to detail;
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment;
- Have strong business partnering skills and the ability to provide strategic, analytical and operational support;
- Be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, comfortable engaging with external advisors and senior stakeholders across the business.
- Experience in the Group FP&A function of another PLC and/or transaction services experience is highly desirable.
