An opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Accountant to join a luxury travel business based in central London.

My client is an award-winning luxury travel company based in central London.
Description
The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:
FINANCIAL REPORTING
Support of the year-end statutory financial reporting preparation for UK and overseas group entities
Assist in preparation of Group consolidations at various levels for statutory reporting purposes under IFRS
MONTH-END
Post monthly transactions for group entities
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany confirmations for group entities
Prepare month-end management accounts for submission to Group consolidation system
Assist the GRM with review and analysis of regional financial information at month-end
Review regional submissions and ensure compliance with group reporting procedures and IFRS requirements
- Assist in the implementation of the new consolidation system by ensuring consistency of reporting across the group and adherence to and maintenance of protocols in the new system
Work with the GRM to embed all financial reporting policies, procedures and controls across the global group
Support the implementation of group processes to enable consistent, timely Group reporting
Identify and implement process improvements within the Group Reporting function
Profile
The successful Group Financial Accountant will have the following credentials:
- Professional finance qualification ACA, CIMA or ACCA completed either in practice or industry circa 1 to 2 years PQE
- Experience with preparation of UK statutory accounts under IFRS and FRS101, 102
- Exposure to Group consolidations, including multi-currency considerations
- Experience within the travel and tourism sector highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with ability to business partner senior stakeholders

Competitive basic salary circa £70,000 to £80,000 + benefits
