Senior Accountant - Christchurch

Qualified ACA ACCA AAT Accounts Senior Accountant Top 30 Firm Christchurch Dorset

You will be working in the Christchurch Office of one of the fastest expanding Top 30 Firms in the UK.

This is a varied role and responsibilities will include preparing accounts and related tax computations for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders, LLPs and charities; working closely with clients, other members of the accounts team and other departments, including direct contact with the Partners, managers and clients in order to obtain the required information to prepare their accounts; delivering excellent client service; reviewing and managing accounts work; managing and prioritising internal workflow and assignments to deadlines; assisting with driving technological solutions in accounting throughout the office; VAT returns; assisting with ad-hoc client support and supporting the growth of the Christchurch office.

Ideally you will be ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience working within an accountancy practice. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, ideally also with good working knowledge of CCH, Xero, Quickbooks and Sage. The role would suit someone who pays great attention to detail and has strong organisational skills along with a pro-active and positive attitude: someone who is looking for a career and not just a job! Xero certification would be a bonus.
