Are you an ACA qualified Finance Manager with strong Financial Modelling skills, as well as experience assessing and improving systems, controls and procedures? Do you also have reasonable experience of preparing corporation tax returns (or are keen to learn this)? Are you looking to work for a boutique London-based commercial property advisory business? Are you looking to utilise your analytical and financial modelling skills in a newly created and high profile Finance Manager role in an entrepreneurial and boutique consultancy business which advises its clients on how to maximise returns on investments in the UK commercial property market? Are you also looking for a role with strong progression? Based in a small yet growing team and reporting directly to the CFO and Senior Management Team, your role will include the following duties: financial modelling using Excel (both building from scratch and improving existing financial models), assessing systems, internal controls, processes and procedures and recommending and implementing improvements, prepare and monitor budgets for various areas of the business, preparing MS excel-based financial models to enable financial decision-making, assist with investment evaluations including assessing the merits and risks of investments, assisting with basic corporation tax work, understanding the tax implications of any transactions, reviewing the compliance based accounting which is completed by an external firm of accountants (reviewing the statutory accounts, management accounts and cashflows which are prepared externally and simply need reviewing) and assisting the CFO with the financial structure of the business including any internal changes and future business restructuring. Overall your role will be varied and challenging with ad hoc projects regularly undertaken. THE CFO is happy to train the right candidate if they don’t have experience in areas such as corporation tax, although the correct candidate must have strong financial modelling skills. The firm also offer flexi / hybrid working, allowing staff to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The firm are based in modern offices in an easily accessible location in Zone 1 Central London.
To be considered for this newly created role (February 2023) you must be a qualified ACA ideally with at least 2 to 3 years (or more) post qualification experience. You must have experience of the above duties and have a strong track record of internal controls, reviewing work and financial modelling. It is likely you will currently be working as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Financial Analyst and be looking for your next challenge in a growing and entrepreneurial commercial real estate business. Experience working in a real estate related businesses including development and / or investments would be an advantage although not essential. It would also be desirable if you had experience of corporation tax returns and advising on changing corporate structures and the various implications of these changes, although training can be provided in these areas. You must be a team player and have an eye for detail.

This new role includes a combination of financial analysis as well as overseeing operational aspects of finance (the day to day finances are handled by the external accountants).
