Key Responsibilities
· Review and prepare analysis of regulatory developments with an impact on the Company
· Assist in the implementation of regulatory changes
· Maintain and develop the compliance monitoring programme and risk & control framework
· MI & reporting for oversight committees and governance
· SMCR - onboarding and annual certification review
· Assist with client and prospective client due diligence visits
· Oversee and obtain assurance over activities outsourced to 3rdparty providers (CASS, Financial Crime, Change Programmes)
· Co-ordinate the new client take-on process including AML checks (supported by CFO) Key role requirements and experience
· Understanding of UK regulations in particular CASS, Financial Crime and Consumer Duty
· Experience of compliance within the asset management industry, particular emphasis on compliance monitoring within a risk-based framework
· Good understanding of FCA compliance systems (e.g. RegData, Connect)
· Ability to work independently and to show initiative
· Ability to assimilate and analyse information
· Excellent communication skills and a logical approach
