Contracts and Finance Manager

We're looking for a Finance Manager (3 Month interim) to join a growing Finance team based in Bournemouth.

Your new company
Hays are working with a large Bournemouth organisation, who are looking for a part qualified Finance Manager to join their team with hybrid on a 3-month interim contract with the potential for a permanent opportunity. This role will be offering hybrid working with the potential to be in their Bournemouth based office for the occasional meeting.


Your new role
To provide support and assistance to the appropriate Financial Controller in delivering a comprehensive financial accounting, management information and advisory service to elected members. Prepare in conjunction with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant annual revenue and/or capital budgets.

• Assist in the preparation of company accounts.
• Month-end Journals/Reconciliations
• Preparation of management information
• Budget monitoring
• Salary monitoring
• Preparation of capital budgets
• Deliver comprehensive financial accounting
• Statutory declarations/VAT returns
• Cashflow management
• Provide financial analysis

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an individual who has experience with the preparation of budget and salary monitoring reports, the ability to provide advice to managers of various levels including stakeholders. Costing, forecasting reports and knowledge of grant funding projects. The candidate should be qualified as a minimum of ACA/ACCA/CIMA and someone that is looking for your next step on the career ladder. You should have strong IT skills including Excel as well as good communication skills and attention to detail.
