A career within Capital Markets, will provide you with the opportunity to be responsible for complex financial reporting issues around deals and other transformational events. You’ll tackle client’s needs with a solution oriented approach that creatively addresses complex financial reporting problems for high profile transactions and you’ll have significant interaction with senior company management teams, bankers, lawyers and other advisers.

Capital Markets advises companies on important deals - initial public offerings (“IPOs”), significant acquisitions or divestments and raising capital through debt or equity issuances.  We are specialists in the UK and US capital market regimes and provide assurance and advice in connection with the financial reporting aspects of these deals, including financial projections, financial reporting procedures and offering documents. 

PwC is the market leader in providing assurance on these deals, working on many high profile transactions. We provide services that our clients and their other advisers depend on. It’s both a responsibility and a privilege to guide our clients through moments that matter deeply to them. Our breadth of clients in an ever-changing market means we need to be agile – responding when we need to, in a way that really makes a difference. We are looking for people with the interpersonal skills needed to develop trusted relationships with clients and work alongside them to help solve their issues.

The role:

A career within Capital Markets will provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of different types of transaction and workstream  with high profile clients across a range of industries. As a manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing teams on a variety of engagements;

• Working alongside senior levels of management, bankers, lawyers and other advisers. We frequently work in teams with other parts of PwC;

• Writing reports and reviewing comfort letters and transaction documents (e.g. prospectuses, shareholder circulars and offering memorandums) for our clients;

• Developing internal and external networks, and adopting a business development mindset to drive the growth of our business

Essential Skills & Experience:

• ACA/ICAS qualified (or equivalent)

• Good report writing and data analytical skills

• Strong commercial awareness

• Good interpersonal skills (managing teams, coaching, mentoring and developing staff, comfortable with clients)

• Excellent communication skills (questioning and listening)​
