Finance Manager

Your new company
We are partnered with a UK leading food manufacturing business based in Watton, as they're actively looking to recruit for a Finance Manager on a 12 month FTC with the potential of the role becoming permanent.

Your new role
Whilst supporting the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance department including managing a team of six.

Job requirements:

• Manage the day to day operations of the finance department
• Management of finance team
• Oversee the completion of the monthly management accounts to strict deadlines
• Oversee the credit control function (purchase and sales ledger)
• Full ownership of external and internal audits (including resolution of all points raised)
• Ownership of environmental and risk reporting
• Ensure all polices and procedures are adhered to
• Drive improvement in the use of IT within the department for reporting and internal control
• Provide assistance to the finance function of the Farms division if required

This is an office based Monday to Friday role, however they are flexible on working hours if need be.

The above responsibilities would depend on the salary you are offered, as well as your experience and knowledge. The Financial Controller has the capability to offer more senior responsibilities if you have the experience and knowledge required.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), however this is not essential and QBE applicants are being considered. You will need experience in a similar role and ideally have experience dealing with external auditors.
