Boutique International Investment Management Infrastructure firm is entering its next phase of growth and requires a Financial Controller to support this. This is an exciting new role which will be instrumental in overseeing the development of the accounting and finance operations area a long side the FD.
Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, Lead and develop a small finance team, manage month-end accounting processes, oversee financial operations, including payments and invoicing, Oversee completion of quarterly and half year management accounts and annual statutory accounts, tax lead including managing advisers, lead audit process, Manage treasury and support the FD with managing liquidity risk, own financial controls and processes, ad-hoc project work, including a planned project to review application of IFRS 9 and transition to new finance system due to bringing accounts inhouse. Ongoing automation projects.
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant either ACA or ACCA, or equivalent ideally trained in Practice, hands-on, technically strong across IFRS based financial and statutory reporting gained in a small to medium sized business within either FS, Charity or Industry or commerce sectors. This will suit somebody who is looking to step up from a Finance Manager role to becoming a Financial Controller with a wider responsibility. Outlook, attitude, new ideas and ability to make continuous improvements is more important than the sector you come from.
