Your new firm
A well established and reputable firm in Manchester City Centre are looking to appoint an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant to join the firm as an Accounts Manager. This job opportunity has arisen due to internal promotions within the team which has created a need for a manager to support the partners with the technical reviews of the team.

Your new role
As an Accounts Manager you will work closely with the accounts team comprising of over ten staff which deliver a range of outsourcing and compliance services to OMBs, limited companies and partnerships.

As an Accounts Manager you will be responsible for reviewing the files of the accounts team, providing notes of amendments, liaising with clients regarding any queries and completing the relevant disclosures. You will take ownership for the completion of files to a high standard for the partner then to provide a light review and sign off the accounts, therefore taking more of a lead on the client relationships. This role will be predominantly office based and you be seen as a technical soundboard for the junior members of the staff, providing support, mentoring and training to the junior members of the team. This role will be focussed predominantly on reviewing and finalising files however there will be some hands on accounts preparation required for the more complex clients.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an ambitious and technically astute ACA / ACCA qualified accountant who can demonstrate prior experience of training junior staff and reviewing accounts files. As the manager you must have strong organisational skills and a good working knowledge of FRS102 legislation and the relevant disclosures. Any experience of cloud based software such as Xero or the accounts production software CCH would be beneficial.
