To prepare all finances for the business unit, including all technical accounting, and engage as a business partner with colleagues from other disciplines, able to review and challenge with the aim of enhancing financial and business performance

Our client is well known within the construction industry. part of a large regional group. With big growth plans, our client is looking for a Finance Manager to join the team and help head up the Finance department making financial decisions to help shape the business unit. Responsible for a team of 2.
Description
Direct reports - 2
Preparation of the monthly management accounts in Excel
Reporting of results, KPI's and variances to forecast to the management team
Cash flow reporting, balance sheet reconciliations & fixed asset register maintenance
Submission of results and other information to Group Finance for consolidation
Completion of information required for tax purposes e.g. VAT return, PSA and finance reporting
Preparation and presentation of twice-yearly forecast models in Excel (P1: 2 years, P3:4 years)
Submission of forecasts to Group Finance via OneStream
Financial modelling and reporting as required by management
Line manager of the finance staff within the team. Manage the team members through a positive, engaging approach, ensuring that processes are robust and controlled, and outputs delivered correctly and in a timely manner.
Support and advice for management decision making
Attendance at Group Finance Director's conferences
Profile
Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or by experience)
Experience managing a small team
Technical accounting with an eye for detail
Not afraid to have your say! Financial decision making and input needed
Autonomy in the role
Experience with Sage X3 ideal
