Our client is an early stage, investor backed scientific company that is poised for growth.
Your new role
The FP&A Manager is a new role which is being established to support key strategic planning activities within the business through the provision of financial information, tools, analysis, and critical insight. You will work closely with other members of the finance team as well as the CFO and the wider business, including sales and research and development teams.
Key duties of the role include budgeting, forecasting and revenue recognition as well as month end close and establishing, tracking and reporting KPIs including the incorporation of commercial KPIs into one reporting pack. You will disseminate the monthly reporting pack to key stakeholders and produce key reports for Board information. You will seek process improvements and support the product teams with market analysis as well as ad hoc valuation and project work as required.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in establishing an FP&A function ideally within life sciences or similar industry, preferably within a SaaS environment. You will have experience of working within a growing organisation and knowledge of using cloud accounting packages and BI tools. Extremely strong excel skills and an ability to use excel as a tool for analysis including model development are essential as well as the ability to bring best practice on financial planning and analysis activities.
