Management Accountant (NQ / 0-2 yrs PQE)
Location: Plymouth, hybrid role – part home based, part office based
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (DOE)

The role…
We now have an opportunity within our Plymouth based Finance department for a Newly Qualified or 1-2 yrs PQE Accountant to join our expanding Central Finance team. The key purpose of this role is to work closely with Finance Managers and Senior Leaders throughout the business to provide efficient and effective reporting and analysis.
This role would suit someone with a keen eye for detail, who enjoys data analysis and is looking for company to grow and develop a long term career with.
Key activities will include:
- Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts
- Preparation of variable pay financials including analysis and insight
- Financial integration of acquired companies into Succession & subsequent management reporting of EBITDA and other metrics.
- Liaising and supporting budget holders across the business to manage overheads and understand performance against budget
- Insightful KPI and performance monitoring, including monthly variance analysis
- Performing and reviewing reconciliations
- Budgeting and forecasting cycles, supporting Finance Managers, Business Partners and the Finance Group Reporting team
Knowledge, skills & experience:
We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.
You will also need:
- To be a UK qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Have a genuine desire to build a career within in-house finance/ accountancy
- To enjoy the buzz of a fast paced and agile working environment
- Ability to quickly analyse and understand financial information
- Strong data analysis skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ideally have some financial service industry knowledge
