About the Team:

Risk Modelling Services (RMS) sits within the wider Risk practice, working hand in hand with our specialist teams to provide analytics and risk modelling to our clients. 

Operational Risk & Resilience Management is a growth area for RMS and the Risk practice more broadly, and we are dedicating a team to focus on modelling the financial quantification of risk and the cost-benefit implications of remediation activities. Our work in this area includes: 

  • Working with our partner teams to support clients’ risk management and business decision making using risk modelling & analytics

  • Supporting clients with specific focus areas, in particular with Supply Chain Risk

  • Supporting clients in quantifying the effect of potential shocks to their business in monetary terms, and the financial benefits of various risk-reduction strategies.

  • Designing & building bespoke Risk models to meet the requirements of particular client business & risk contexts

  • Building reports and presenting to our clients on their risk profile and potential business decisions

  • Embedding our risk quantification in wider PwC risk management projects

  • Engaging in thought leadership and conference presentations to promote our brand 

The RMS team is made up of over 15 partners and 300 professional staff; we are a team of modelling specialists who support government, private sector and financial services clients to better understand and manage various types of risk. 

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director to help drive the growth of this business; to build client relationships, to lead delivery and to lead on the development of relevant models and thought leadership. 

You will support the growth of the business by connecting your technical expertise with client need and market opportunity. You will collaborate with the relevant PwC specialist teams to identify market opportunities, build client relationships, lead proposals, and lead delivery to clients. In addition to direct client work, you will lead on the development of risk models and will engage in thought leadership and other forms of marketing.

Skills and Experience:

Experience required for this role:

You will have experience in identifying and pursuing market opportunities and will have worked in Operational Resilience or Risk Management.

Technical skills required for this role:

  • Experience of Operational Resilience or Risk Management

  • Experience of Supply Chain Risk is desirable

  • Developing and using scenarios to support clients in measuring and mitigating risk

  • Experience in using risk models and analytics to fit business needs

  • Experience in leading delivery and presentations

  • Experience in developing and leading proposals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical capability

 

Key management skills required for this role include:

  • Ability to work in an agile manner, leading multiple projects at the same time

  • Ability to lead, and to inspire and motivate others where this is required

  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating at all levels

  • Excellent verbal, written and influencing skills
