About the Team

The Risk Analytics Solution Hub has specific responsibility for developing and driving the use of market-leading analytical solutions to support Risk practitioners and their clients, throughout the project lifecycle from proposition and product development to practitioner support and Execution Managed Services. 

Key areas of focus are core Risk services such as internal audit, governance, risk & compliance, risk modelling, capital markets accounting advisory and structuring, commercial control and capital projects, treasury and commodities, cyber security and technology and data risk.  We support all sectors of industry and government and are working to support critical and complex problems in society including ESG and climate risk, supply chain risk, data privacy and ethics and crisis resilience.

The role

 The role will require exceptional organisational skills, a high attention to detail and general understanding of data analytics technology solutions. You will support the Risk Analytics Solution Hub team and your principle accountability will be to ensure that the identification, design and delivery of risk analytics solutions is controlled, tracked, and governed.

As a Risk Analytics Solution Hub Manager you will:

  • Further the execution of the Risk Analytics strategy to develop new, and grow existing, revenue streams 

  • Support the Analytics Solution Hub Directors and Leads to collaborate effectively with Business Unit Digital Partners and digital teams, to deliver high-value analytics opportunities through the Risk Analytics Solutions Hub

  • Lead the management and planning of our Risk Analytics delivery portfolio, tracking milestone deadlines and accurately reporting progress against these on a time, value and cost basis. Collating and presenting information to inform the forward view of resourcing and investment needs across short, medium and long term timeframes

  • Collaborate with the Risk Analytics Managers and Leads to plan, initiate and prioritise delivery activities, including resource allocation, within our three tiered delivery model

  • Define and own the Risk Analytics Solution Hub operating processes for managing risks, issues, assumptions,dependencies and change control. Communicate with delivery teams to ensure that processes are followed

  • Champion firmwide risk and quality policies and procedures; and guide our teams on the implications of the same within their solution development and client delivery

  • Work together with the rest of the Risk Analytics Solution Hub and our delivery teams across Risk to ensure successful client outcomes

  • Monitor the continuous development and optimisation of our delivery operating model, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, to deliver excellence in analytics solutions implementation within defined constraints

  • Track the continuous development of Risk colleagues towards self-sufficiency in the ‘best in class’ use of data analytics.

  • Establish a strong personal internal reputation and trust with key stakeholders

  • Contribute to an inclusive environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart   

Person Specification

  • Strong domain knowledge of project and programme management, preferably gained within a Risk services environment

  • Proven experience of designing and running a PMO effectively in the context of solution delivery, including processes such as risk management and status reporting.

  • Ability to own and drive project planning activities, but also to own and drive project plans and budgets within delivery teams. 

  • Strong experience of financial planning and tracking for a project and/or programme.

  • Experience of communicating to delivery teams to drive alignment on processes and standards.

  • Experience in client advisory and sales support advantageous.

  • Proven experience of effectively engaging with senior stakeholders (i.e. HoD, Directors) to manage expectations and engagement.

  • Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders through strengths in influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a complex, matrix structured business environment.

  • Team development and leadership desirable.

  • Experience of working with near-shore and/or off-shore teams.

  • Meticulous project management skills; exceptionally organised and able to provide appropriate support and challenge to team members and stakeholders alike.

  • Ability to demonstrate agile ways of working and thinking with a strong growth mindset.

  • An interest in analytics and a digitally focused mindset. 

  • A strong aptitude for innovation, creativity and change management.

  • Qualification in project/programme management (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile or Managing Successful Programmes) desirable.
