About the Team

The Risk Analytics Solution Hub has specific responsibility for developing and driving the use of market-leading analytical solutions to support Risk practitioners and their clients, throughout the project lifecycle from proposition and product development to practitioner support and Execution Managed Services. 

Key areas of focus are core Risk services such as internal audit, governance, risk & compliance, risk modelling, capital markets accounting advisory and structuring, commercial control and capital projects, treasury and commodities, cyber security and technology and data risk.  We support all sectors of industry and government and are working to support critical and complex problems in society including ESG and climate risk, supply chain risk, data privacy and ethics and crisis resilience.

The role

The role will require a diverse blend of skills across risk services and data analytics technology solutions. You will support the Risk Analytics Business Director, working to the Risk Analytics Supergrowth and Business Unit Leads. Your principle accountability will be to identify, design and deliver the right analytics solution to meet our clients’ needs, acting as a key business partner within one or more of the following areas within Risk: 

  • Financial Services Business Risk and Controls (FS-BRC)

  • Controls, Deals, Accounting and Risk (CDAR)

  • Cyber Security

  • Data Privacy and Ethics

  • Product and Service Incubation and Growth

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

  • Sustainability: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)

As a Risk Analytics Manager you will:

  • Further the execution of the Risk Analytics strategy to develop new, and grow existing, revenue streams across your area of responsibility

  • Engage as the analytics representative for your assigned team(s) within Risk, supporting Business Unit Digital Partners and digital teams, collaborating to deliver high-value analytics opportunities through the Risk Analytics Solutions Hub

  • Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of a set of services and products delivered through the Risk Analytics Solutions Hub, leveraging our three tiered delivery model

  • Use your understanding of data, technology, solution delivery and implementation to lead and own the detailed definition, design, implementation and adoption plan for high complexity Risk Analytics solutions, working alongside your team in the Solutions Hub and Business Units to deliver excellence in solution specification, scalability and value

  • Contribute to the continuous planning of our Risk Analytics delivery portfolio, committing to milestone deadlines with stakeholders and accurately reporting progress against these on a time, value and cost basis.  Provide information to inform the forward view of resourcing and investment needs across short, medium and long term timeframes

  • Work with the other Risk Analytics Managers and analytics delivery teams across Risk, other lines of service and PwC network firms to support one another, increase leverage of assets and minimise duplication. You will be expected to understand and deliver within firmwide risk and quality policies and procedures; and guide our teams on the implications of the same within their solution development and client delivery

  • Work together with the rest of the Risk Analytics Solution Hub and our delivery teams across Risk to ensure successful client outcomes

  • Contribute to the continuous development and optimisation of our delivery operating model, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, to deliver excellence in analytics solutions implementation within defined constraints

  • Ensure the continuous development of Risk colleagues towards self-sufficiency in the ‘best in class’ use of data analytics

  • Establish a strong personal internal reputation as a trusted expert in Risk Analytics

  • Contribute to an inclusive environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart  

Person Specification

  • Strong domain knowledge of data analytics methods, technologies and functional solution design either gained or executed in a Risk services environment

  • Demonstrable experience and interest in at least one of the following areas:

    • Financial Services Business Risk and Controls (FS-BRC)

    • Controls, Deals, Accounting and Risk (CDAR)

    • Cyber Security

    • Data Privacy and Ethics

    • Product and Service Incubation and Growth

    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

    • Sustainability: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

    • Supply Chain Management (SCM)

  • End-to-end analytics delivery experience, with the ability to shape and assess ambiguity, developing new ideas into structured, deliverable projects

  • Experience in client advisory and sales support advantageous

  • Proven experience of effectively engaging with senior stakeholders (i.e. HoD, Directors) to manage expectations and engagement

  • Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders through strengths in influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills

  • Commercially astute, with proven ability to identify revenue generating opportunities

  • Proven ability to thrive in a complex, matrix structured business environment

  • Experience of working with near-shore and/or off-shore teams

  • Meticulous project management skills; highly organised and able to provide appropriate support and challenge to team members and stakeholders alike

  • Management and coaching of high-performing, technically enthusiastic teams; able to motivate and inspire teams through change and ambiguity

  • Ability to demonstrate agile ways of working and thinking with a strong growth mindset

  • A passion for analytics and a digitally focused mindset

  • A strong aptitude for innovation, creativity and change management
